How did you make the non-newtonian fluid? That is fun stuff. I remember making it years back and how it can change from a solid state to a liquid state. Fun stuff! Your kids are getting some great hands-on experiences! Love the dam he is building!
Non-newtonian fluid: cornstartch and water plus a little food coloring if desired.
I think it's absolutely fantastic that you are doing homeschooling! I think kids learn so much more this way. & I love the blog!
Cornstarch and water is such a great experiment; it never fails to even impress adults :)
Thanks! Can't wait to show my kids and make a complete mess! :)
I think I've called it ooblech! LOL
What fun!
My daughter's itenerant preschool teacher made that with her once. She has sensory processing problems, so she ultimately ended up flinging the stuff from her hands. It went all over the walls, floor, everywhere. It is terrible to clean up! If I remember, it even takes the paint off the walls! LOL!
But now that she's older, we may try making it again, OUTSIDE!
It looks like you may have the next great engineer there with that dam construction going on at such a young age!
My boys love creating structures in the when outside. Great picture of your little guys dam.
And slime is so fun. :)
Oh the slime looks like SO much fun!
Thanks for participating in the Carnival of Homeschooling! The carnival is up at The Common Room
