As I emerge on this new path of freelance writing it is encouraging and joyful to see my first article in print in Pathways to Family Wellness Magazine.
That is a very informative article and written quite eloquently too! =) I am going to go through my pantry today. I have heard of this link to behavioral issues in the past.Like you, life became busy and we are still in the "middle of the road" phases of life.Thank you for giving me the extra push, I needed to make it to the end. =)
I clicked here from your blog post on Everything Mom and am pretty happy I found your blog!! I love it! This article is fantastic, and I can totally relate. My son is EXACTLY like that - easily gets overwhelmed and then explodes (admittedly he gets that from me) and I have never considered Artificial Food Colouring. We eat sort of healthy, mostly organic foods, but my son really likes his "treats" and I'm sure he is getting a lot more chemicals and AFC than I even realize. I think I would be terrified to find out all the places this stuff was lurking in our kitchen :(
I am really going to look into this. If it worked for you, than I am open to the possibility it could work for us.
We have a lot in common :) I'm also a teacher, at home with my kids right now, contemplating home-schooling, and very interested in freelance writing. So glad to have found your blog.
Congratulations on your published article! Last week I recommended someone to your site. I thought the information in your blog matched some of the things she was interested in. Perhaps it was the Crafty Mom! :) I am glad that your spreading the word about the artificial food dyes. You have an amazing site here! Sincerely, Cayla reddyefree.blogspot.com

I am a home schooling Mom to my two monkeys living in the Syracuse suburbs. I am a former elementary school teacher, staff developer, and high stressed working mom. Now I write, photograph, and blog about our life as a homeschooling, semi-organic, somewhat-homesteading, and natural-ish living family. We love the outdoors, learning at home, and ice-cream at the end of our escapades.
